▂ Perspectives on Empowerment
▂ Diskriminierungen auf Grund von Geschlecht, Ethnie, Klasse oder anderen -konstruierten-Kategorien strukturieren maßgeblich unseren Alltag. Sie produzieren soziale Ungleichheit, schaffen Zugangsbarrieren und schließen aus. Die exkludierenden Mechanismen werden unter anderem über Sprache hergestellt. Das Wort ist ein Machtinstrument. Darüber müssen wir reden.
Wir wollen in dieser United We Talk Sendung intersektionalen Perspektiven nachspüren, die sich mit Selbstermächtigung beschäftigen. Wir gehen mit unterschiedlichen Akteur*innen der Frage nach, wie durch Begriffe und Sprache in verschiedenen Medien Autonomie und Selbstbestimmung hergestellt werden kann.
Oft wird darüber diskutiert, welche Konsequenzen sich durch Rassifizierungen, Vergeschlechtlichungen oder Klassifizierungen ergeben. Dabei wird dann häufig von „Betroffenen“ oder gar „Opfern“ gesprochen. Diesen Viktimisierungsdiskurs wollen wir aufbrechen und mit Protagonist*innen aus Literatur und Film Strategien kennen lernen, sich dieser Sprachgewalt zu ermächtigen.
▂Film „Against For“ mit einem Gespräch der Regisseur*in Quynh Le Nguyen. In dem Film hören wir Sheila – eine Aktivist*in der Münchner Gruppe Beyond Colour. Sie* fordert uns eindrücklich auf, darüber nachzudenken, ob wir nicht lieber für als gegen etwas sein wollen.
▂Vorstellung des Projekts „trans*fabel“ sowie Lesung aus einem Kinderbuch zum Thema Intergeschlechtlichkeit von Katja Anton Cronauer mit anschließendem Gespräch. Trans*fabel beschäftigt sich mit Positionen außerhalb des 2-Geschlechtersystems.
▂Lesung von Roger Rekless. Roger Rekless ist Vieles: Studierter Pädagoge, DJ, Produzent, Moderator, Autor und Rapper. Er setzt sich gegen Rassismus und Diskriminierung ein, sowohl durch seine Musik, als auch in dem 2019 erschienenen Buch „Ein N** darf nicht neben mir sitzen“. In diesem Sachbuch erklärt er die Dynamiken von Alltagsrassimus unter anderem an der eigenen Biografie. Seit 2020 ist er auch Teil der Live-Formation von Deichkind

▂Perspectives on Empowerment:
Discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity, class or other -constructed- categories decisively structure our everyday life. They produce social inequality, create barriers to access and exclude. The exclusive mechanisms are produced, among other things, by means of language. The Word is an instrument of power. We need to talk about this.
In this Untied We Talk Show, we want to trace intersectional perspectives that deal with self-empowerment. We work with different actors on the question of how autonomy and self-determination can be achieved through terms and language in different media.
The consequences of radicalization, sexuality or classification are often discussed. This is often referred to as „affected“ or even „victims“. We want to break up this victimization-discourse and get to know strategies with protagonists form literature and film to empower themselves with this power of language.
▂Movie „Against For“ with a talk by the Director Quynh Le Nguyen. In the Film we hear Sheila – an activist in the Munich Group „Beyond Color“. She* urges us to think about whether we would rather be for than against something.
▂Children book reading by Katja Anton Cronauer form the Project „Transfabel“ followed by an Interview Anton . Transfabel deals with positions outside the 2-Gender System.
▂Reading by Roger Rekless. Roger Rekless is a lot: He is a studied pedagogue, DJ, producer, presenter, author and rapper. He tackles racism and discrimination through his music, but also with his 2019 pubished book „A N***** must not sit next to me“. In this non-fiction book he explaines the dynamics of everyday racism, also by reference to his own biography. Since 2020 he is also part of the Deichkind Live-Formation.

█ Once again the Coview -cats take over the Studio. They ask questions, show perspectives, and tell stories. We hear from around the world what is going on with #covid_19 as the pandemic is far from over. The cat-crew talks about their current plans and the status of their growing decentralized network.
A possible answer to the current crisis might be a society that does not focus on the fairytale of neverending growth. Our planet has limited resources, for a good life for all to be possible new structures and better forms of collaboration need to be put into practice. Degrowth Conference Vienna 2020 brought together a lot of people who are actively tackling this question. We take a short view into their conference that took place at the end of May a where all the panels are available online to rewatch.
█ Networking is also the keyword related to club culture – Covid_19 brought together several club culture workers in Austria to form the IG Club Kultur so we hear from them what is going on in this field of work. Not only in club culture there is currently crisis – culture work is – as we all know – in general in a difficult situation. We hear from Iraqi Autumn a group of Iraqi artists and activists, who live in various cities of Europe and are based in Vienna about their current work and perspective. They combine art and politics to tackle issues within society. This is also done by „ Laut Fragen “ a band that recently released an album. We take a look at their making-of process and listen to some of their songs in which they combine antifascist lyrics and post-punk. This all combined with news from the „show with the cat“ feat. Unicorn Riot, leftvision, WienTV.org, Freundeskreis Videoclips and some more guests.

Our 15th. edition of United We Talk is a continuation of the topic of migration and club culture. Experiences of discrimination at club doors and difficult access to jobs and participation in the music industry are part of everyday life for people with a history of migration and people who are read as non-Germans. Our second programme on the subject discusses the intersectionality of racism and sexism from a feminist perspective. In other words, it sheds light on the connections and interactions between the two forms of discrimination using the example of people who are doubly affected. In the programme, women* with jobs in the industry report on their careers and experiences.

United We Talk | Seebrücke: Evacuate All Camps
Corona wirkt als Katalysator globaler Ungerechtigkeit und macht die ohnehin fürchterliche Lage auf den griechischen Inseln noch schlimmer. Ohne Raum und Geld für notwendige Quarantäne-Maßnahmen bedroht Corona die Menschen in den griechischen Lagern existentiell. Der deutsche Staat hat dies zum Anlass genommen 47 (sic!) Minderjährige aus diesen katastrophalen Umständen zu holen. Nebenbei macht er deutlich, wie wenig seiner Ressourcen er für Geflüchtete nutzt wenn 200.000 deutsche Tourist*innen und 80.000 Erntehelfer*innen für die Rettung des Spargels wie von Zauberhand nach Deutschland geholt werden. Besonders absurd und unmenschlich ist, dass viele deutsche Städte explizit Menschen aufnehmen wollen, aber dies nicht zustande kommt. 153 Kommunen teilen die Forderungen der Seebrücke, sichere Häfen zu schaffen und haben sich im Zuge dessen bereit erklärt Geflüchtete aufzunehmen.
Die sorgfältig vorbereitete Sendung am Mittwoch gewährt uns einen Einblick in die Arbeit und Perspektiven von Mare Liberum und der Seebrücke. Außerdem hören wir direkt von Geflüchteten und Menschen, die vor Ort arbeiten.

▂Mare Liberum beobachtet mit einem eigenen Schiff die Lage der Menschenrechte in der Ägäis. Sie sind vor der Küste der griechischen Insel Lesbos präsent. Als unabhängiger Beobachter führt Mare Liberum Recherchen durch, um die aktuelle Situation an der europäischen Grenze zu dokumentieren und zu veröffentlichen. Unsere Ergebnisse und Beobachtungen werden der europäischen Öffentlichkeit und Lobbygruppen für Geflüchtete zur Verfügung gestellt.
▂Die SEEBRÜCKE ist eine internationale Bewegung, getragen von verschiedenen Bündnissen und Akteur*innen der Zivilgesellschaft. Sie solidarisieren sich mit allen Menschen auf der Flucht und erwarten von der deutschen und europäischen Politik sofort sichere Fluchtwege, eine Entkriminalisierung der Seenotrettung und eine menschenwürdige Aufnahme der Menschen, die fliehen mussten oder noch auf der Flucht sind – kurz: Weg von Abschiebung und Abschottung und hin zu Bewegungsfreiheit für alle Menschen.
▂Logbuch Freiheit (logbuch-freiheit.de) ist eine Podcast-Reihe von Lea Beckmann und Linus Neumann, die sich um aktuelle Fragen zu Grund- und Menschenrechten dreht. Lea ist Juristin bei der Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte (freiheitsrechte.org), wo sie strategische Gerichtsverfahren koordiniert und begleitet, um Menschenrechte auch vor Gericht durchzusetzen.

▂United We Care ist eine gemeinnützige und ehrenamtlich arbeitende Initiative, bestehend aus Kunst- und Kulturschaffenden der Club- und Festival Szene aus Berlin, Leipzig & Halle. Sie möchten eine gerechte, faire und nachhaltige Gesellschaft mitgestalten – frei von Diskriminierung und Unterdrückung. Ihr Ziel ist es, in der humanitären Katastrophe an den EU-Außengrenzen, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Balkanbrücke und anderen Akteur*innen, gemeinsam Hilfe für Schutzsuchende zu ermöglichen. Konkret möchten sie durch eine Startnext Kampagne Gelder sammeln sowie die Missstände auf der Balkan-Fluchtroute stärker in den medialen Fokus rücken. Corona acts as a catalyst of global injustice and makes the already terrible situation on the Greek islands even worse. Without space and money for necessary quarantine measures Corona threatens the existence of the people in the Greek camps. The German state has taken this as an opportunity to bring 47 (sic!) minors out of these catastrophic circumstances. By the way, germany makes it clear how little of its resources it uses for refugees when 200,000 German tourists* and 80,000 harvest workers* are magically brought to Germany to save the asparagus. It is particularly absurd and inhuman that many German cities explicitly want to accept people, but this does not happen. 153 municipalities share the demands of the Seebrücke to create safe havens and have agreed to take in refugees.
The carefully prepared programme on Wednesday gives us an insight into the work and perspectives of Mare Liberum and the Seebrücke. We also hear directly from refugees and people who work on the ground.

▂Mare Liberum observes the human rights situation in the Aegean with its own ship. They are present off the coast of the Greek island of Lesbos. As an independent observer, Mare Liberum conducts research to document and publish the current situation on the European border. Their results and observations are made available to the European public and to lobby groups for refugees.
▂The SEEBRÜCKE is an international movement, supported by various alliances and actors* of civil society. They show solidarity with all people on the run and expect German and European policymakers to immediately provide safe escape routes, decriminalise sea rescue and provide a humane welcome for those who have had to flee or are still fleeing – in short: away from deportation and isolation and towards freedom of movement for all people.
▂Logbuch Freiheit (logbuch-freiheit.de) is a podcast series by Lea Beckmann and Linus Neumann, which revolves around current issues of basic and human rights. Lea is a lawyer at the Society for Freedom Rights (freheitsrechte.org), where she coordinates and accompanies strategic legal proceedings to enforce human rights in court. Linus is active in the CCC and makes the weekly podcast Logbuch:Netzpolitik (https://logbuch-netzpolitik. de). in the episode on 27. 05. their joint video project is dedicated to the questions surrounding the ruling of the Federal Constitutional Court on the Federal Intelligence Service.
▂United We Care is a non-profit and voluntary initiative, consisting of artists and cultural workers from the club and festival scene from Berlin, Leipzig & Halle. Die heutige Sendung wird in Kooperation mit Plus1 sein. Einige von euch kennen die Kampagne vielleicht schon oder haben schonmal ihre Spendendosen gesehen: An den Berliner Clubtüren, bei Konzerten oder auch Festivals sammelt Plus1 Spenden für antirassistische Arbeit. Jetzt sind die Clubs geschlossen und nahezu alle Festivals abgesagt. Trotz dieser Situation will Plus1 weiter aktiv bleiben und wichtige Initiativen und Gruppen unterstützen. Aus diesem Grund haben sie eine Gesprächsrunde organisert zu einem Thema, das gegenwärtig nur sehr wenig in der Öffentlichkeit präsent ist:

Wie ist die Situation? Was sind die Probleme? Und welche Handlungsoptionen und Initiativen gibt es?
▂Einen musikalischen Beitrag gibt es von Messed Up, einer Punk Band aus der Belarussischen Stadt Grodno. Für diesen Sommer waren eigentlich viele Konzerte und einige Festivals geplant. Durch die gegenwärtige Situation ist das allerdings nicht mehr möglich. In Belarus ist die Situation rund um das Corona Virus besonders skurril, da der Präsident des Landes die Existenz des Virus vehement verharmlost oder sogar leugnet. Die Konzerte von Messed Up in Belarus könnten rein rechtlich stattfinden. Trotzdem hat die Band sich dazu entschieden auch diese Shows abzusagen. Some of you may already know the campaign or have seen its donation boxes: Plus1 collects donations for anti-racist work at Berlin’s club doors, at concerts or festivals. Now the clubs are closed and almost all festivals are cancelled. Despite this situation, Plus1 intends to remain active and support important initiatives and groups. For this reason, they have organised a round table discussion on a topic that is currently only marginally present in the public eye: When physical distancing is not possible – the situation of refugees in Berlin and Brandenburg in the Corona crisis. For this summer there were actually many concerts and some festivals planned. However, this is no longer possible due to the current situation. In Belarus, the situation around the Corona virus is particularly bizarre, as the country’s president vehemently plays down or even denies the existence of the virus. The concerts of Messed Up in Belarus could take place purely legally. Nevertheless the band decided to cancel these shows as well. Therefore they recorded a short concert for us in their rehearsal room. We are looking forward to it!
